Innovate Design Collective, (formerly Landscape Solutions- now amalgamated with IDC) is a Victoria, BC design firm specializing in custom landscape and building design. Led by Principal Building Designer Duane Ensing, the studio designs purpose-built building design and also creates thoughtful, site-specific landscapes that connect architecture, nature and the way people live outdoors.

Our landscape design work includes custom gardens, patios, decks, outdoor living spaces, planting design and complete landscape plans for residential and commercial properties. We consider the building design, site, materials, views, privacy, planting and outdoor living as part of one cohesive design.

Today, Landscape Solutions has evolved into Innovate Design Collective, bringing building, landscape and interior design together under one design-focused studio.

Fairfield

Extending the architecture outdoors.

In Fairfield, the landscape was designed as a natural extension of the home, creating a series of outdoor rooms that connect the architecture to the garden.

Poured-in-place concrete patios, decks and architectural water features establish a strong framework, while a concrete stepping-stone bridge creates a playful connection across the landscape. An outdoor fireplace provides another gathering point, extending the experience of the home into the garden.

The result is a landscape that feels less like a separate outdoor space and more like a continuation of the rooms within — considered, connected and designed for living.
